Powerbuilder 7 - Only print header on first page and footer on last page - powerbuilder

I need to only print header on the first page and footer on the last page. Please help. Thanks.

You could create a group in your DW which would change only as the invoice changes - say on the invoice number. Move your header information (the stuff you only want to print on the first page of the invoice) into the group band. Now if you have a multi page invoice the header will only print on the first page.

Page Headers in ReportViewer Report Displaying A Variable

I am trying to add the variable SName to the report header. I copied this =First(ReportItems!SName.Value) after reading this http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms252093%28VS.80%29.aspx and it works on the First page of the report.
However, on the second through penultimate page it becomes blank (i think because the textbox Sname doesnt appear on the page anymore) and then on the last page it displays Blank.
I need the value from the textbox SName to appear on every page of the report.
Any ideas are much appreciated.

OK I had to make a textbox which I set hidden=true and held the value so that the information would be present on each page, yet not visible to the user, ugly but it works. =ReportItems!SName.Value where SName is the name of a textbox which is hidden.
Select the TextBox Properties, in the General Tab check "Repeat report item ..." option and then select Data Region. It Works!!!

Microsoft report viewer subreport, footer of subreport not showing up

I'm using the MicrosoftReportViewer in VS2008, to display a report in a asp.net applicaiton (mvc).
I have a subreport on my report.
In my footer on the subreport, I have a textbox that displays the sum of one of the columns. and another text box with a label for the sum box.
Neither of these show up in my report when I run it. All of the data in the body shows up fine.
If I move the textboxes to the bottom of the body of the report, it says I cant have an aggregate funciton that is not in a header or a footer.
I created the footer originally to solve the aggregate problem, so I have not tweaked any settings from stock, if that's a clue.
Any one know what I need to do to get my footer to show uop?
Any help or hints are Appreicated.

EDIT 2: A subreport will not display any page sections or run any page related
events. You will need to use the main report footer. It seems there can only be one page footer and the main report is the logical one to use.
Found a suggested workaround: You can manipulate the main report page footer from the subreport by using code in a subreport event procedure. For example, if you put a text box named txtSubTitle in the main report page footer section, then the subreport's report header section's Format event procedure can do something like:
Parent.txtSubTitle = "my subreport something"
EDIT 3: Alternate workaround, which I'm going with: Add a table to the subreport body. Add your subreport "footer" to the table's footer section. Have the table's footer section repeat on each page. Ta-dah!

If a table has more rows, you will see a page selector and links like ">" and ">>" on the same line as the one where you see the "Number of rows" selector.
There is a Show all rows option also provided in phpmyadmin you can see that from, the first where you click on dropdown of per page record show.

Layout change after page 2

I need to produce invoices that have a payment slip on the bottom of the first page. On the back of that first page the text must not go into the payment slip area on the front.
From the the next page on, the whole page size must be used for the text.
Is this possible with xsl-fo? I couldn't figure a way to do this.

where page is the fo:simple-page-master for the first page, page2 is for the second page, and the-rest is for the rest.
You'd have to set the margin-bottom on either page2 or its fo:region-body so that no content goes behind the payslip.
The most portable way to do the payslip on page1 would be to put its content in the fo:static-content for the fo:region-after of page1. If your formatter supports multiple fo:region-body then you could put the content in a second fo:flow to flow into a second fo:region-body. If you are using AH Formatter, you could use either of those techniques or you could put the payslip content in an fo:float and make it float to the bottom of the page.

Add mini page layout to related list

Is it possible to add a mini page layout to a related list? For example, on the opportunity line item related list on the opportunity, I'd like to have a mini page layout display when the user hovers of the product. Is this possible?

I have no idea if it'd be available through configuration. Probably it's not happening because:
together with rel. lists popping up on top of page when you hover over their names it could mean some messy JS / CSS problems
it requires that the link on which you hover to have unique id = salesforce record id. If you'd have more than 1 product on Opp Line Items stuff like document.getElementById() would always return the first link
the functions that are called are pretty easy to use:

They really require the Id to be record's Id and nothing more though (problem if you'd like to use VF <apex:outputLink> etc because id can't be dynamic and it would grow to page:block:section:table:row:0:accId.
So - if you really need this feature I suspect you'd have to somehow inject javascript in the sidebar so the Opp Line Item links would be "decorated" using these hover functions. And you'd probably have to override the standard functions / call your own versions so for example they'd display balloon on item that has "oppLineItemId_productId" (that would be unique) but display data from Product2.
